Mesa North Side Panoramic
This image was made several years ago before the reflection pool and fountains were changed. I originally shot it on 4x5" color film. It shows much more of the reflection and a bit more sky. The character of the reflection has completely changed now that the pool has a darker, pebbled texture.
I photographed this in the spring when the sun was coming up in the east. I wanted just a little bit of side-light on the Temple. Also, the sky is usually darkest when photographed 90 degrees from the sun. That created better contrast with the Temple in this image.
I'm planning to go back in the spring and photograph with a wider-angle lens to get a much skinnier panoramic. For now, enjoy this cropped one. I'll post the uncropped color one later.
